WAGGA WAGGA BRANCH OF NSWALC TO CLOSE
The Wiradjuri Regional Branch office of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council
(NSWALC), based in Wagga Wagga, will close in the near future as part
of an organisational restructure and due to financial considerations,
Chief Executive Officer of the NSWALC, Jeffrey Bradford, said today.
"Contrary to the public statements by the PSA, the upcoming closure
is not related to the PSA's concerns regarding occupational health and
safety. We have had ongoing dialogue with the head office of the PSA for
some months, and as recently as Monday, regarding the restructure and
anticipated closures of Branch offices," Mr Bradford said.
The NSWALC is currently considering alternative options for maintaining
service delivery to the Local Aboriginal Land Councils within the Wiradjuri
Region.
