Indigenous Governance Awards open for 2016
13 April 2016

Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALC) are encouraged to apply for the Indigenous Governance Awards 2016.

The Awards, held every two years, recognise the best and fairest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations that are driving change in local communities.

The Land Rights network in New South Wales is as strong as it's ever been and our network of Local Aboriginal Land Councils are showing great leadership at the local level.

The Indigenous Governance Awards offer $60,000 in prize money to winners and runners-up in two categories - one for incorporated organisations and one for non-incorporated projects and initiatives.

Nominations close on Friday, 20 May. Find out how to nominate at www.reconciliation.org.au/iga or call 02 6273 9200.
