40 Years Strong - Our Land Council Our Mob Our Future

In New South Wales we have the deadliest Aboriginal Land Rights system in Australia.

The fight for Land Rights turns 40 this year and we want you to help us celebrate our success and pay tribute to the legends of Land Rights who are sadly no longer with us.

Back in October 1977, more than 200 Land Rights legends met at the Black Theatre in Redfern to demand the power to control our land, make our own decisions and elect our own leaders.

Six years later, the NSW Parliament passed Land Rights legislation that everyone in New South Wales can be proud of.

Today, Land Rights creates jobs, provides strong leaders and protects culture.

Celebrate our success and recognise the strength we have in Our Land Council, Our Mob, Our Future.
